NCOE Grade School welcomed The NED Show today! The NED Show teaches kids how to be champions in life by teaching three concepts: Never give up! Encourage others! Do your best! Through stories and yo-yo tricks, the performer, Brian, kept the kids engaged and entertained as he talked through these ideas. They all loved it!

The Grade School was glad to welcome the NCOE Kindness Club yesterday. This week is World Kindness Week, so these 10 amazing high schoolers came to talk to our students about the importance of being kind. They gave a presentation and did some fun activities! Thank you all for setting a great example for the younger students in our district!

The 5th Graders also made Dough Maps. They made dough at home, then fashioned it to look like different parts of the world. The final step was to paint it! They did a great job!

The 5th grade classes have done some cool activities the last few days. They did a Decimal Diner. The students received a packet to work on. They had menus at each station. They practiced adding, subtracting, rounding, and comparing decimals. It had a real world feel to the lesson. They finished the activity with a treat!
