The 2nd Graders are busy this morning working on their biome projects. They have been learning about different environments and the plants and animals that live in each one. They are having a great time assembling them! Stay tuned for pics of the finished products!

Yesterday Mr. Mason and Mrs. Naas held a mock trial in the classroom with their Jr. High English classes. Students were split into a prosecution team, a defense team, a jury, detectives, and witnesses. The trial was to determine if the narrator in the short story they read was guilty or not guilty. They did a great job with it!

Yesterday the 5th graders did some science experiments involving Halloween items. They did a Witches Brew, to see if the amount of vinegar mixed with baking soda would affect the gas produced. They did Disappearing Candy Corn, to determine if candy corn would dissolve in soda, vinegar, or water the fastest. They did Glow Ghosts, to determine if the temperature of water affects the brightness of a glow stick. They also did a Pumpkin plummet, to decide if the type of pumpkin dropped would affect the size of the crater formed. They had so much fun!
